2/26/16

Last week, Sam's family came in to celebrate his Super Kid Day. They brought in donuts and read "Have You Seen My Dinosaur?" by Jon Surgal.

We started our study of Dr. Suess in preparation for his birthday celebration. We have been reading many of his books and noticing the patterns he uses in his writing including rhyming and repetition of sight words.

We have read Dr. Suess books like "Horton Hears a Who", "Oh the Places You'll Go", and "The Lorax". We talked about Dr. Suess' passion for justice and the meaning behind each story. Ask your child what Dr. Suess wanted us to learn in each one!

Feel free to start taking home your child's 100's day poster from the hallway. Some have fallen and may be in our classroom if you do not see them outside.

Ms. Woltmann and I are looking forward to seeing many of you at the auction tomorrow. We are offering a scavenger hunt and pizza party to 4 kids as our "teacher treat". We will also have the baby book up for auction.

See you tomorrow!

Ms. Ardito
