Is there anything better than a Pumpkin?

The kindergarteners have been busy in art. They recently completed their hand tracing project which involves overlapping and intersecting lines and shapes and some amazing color blending. Look how beautiful these are!

Yesterday we looked at some pictures of pumpkin patches and the students started their "pumpkins in a field" paintings by blending red and yellow paint to making many orange circles on their papers. They had to decide whether to include a horizon line or not and next week they will add more colors and details using oil pastels.

Some of them also had time to do some pretty spooky jack-o-lantern paintings.
